## Direct answer

FXAbsolute measured **31,145 one-minute Dukascopy EURUSD bid candles** in June 2026. Using fixed UTC month boundaries, EURUSD opened at **1.16486**, reached a high of **1.16648**, a low of **1.13245**, and closed at **1.14129** US dollars per euro. The open-to-close change was **-235.7 pips**, or **-2.023%**.

The high occurred at 2026-06-01T06:59:00Z; the low occurred later at 2026-06-24T13:09:00Z. The observed high-to-later-low move was -340.3 pips (-2.917%), followed by a 88.4 pips recovery from the low into the month close.

These are spot bid prices and UTC aggregations. They are not ask or midpoint prices, CME euro futures settlements, official once-daily reference rates, or New York-close broker candles.

- 12,304 observed M1 closes were below 1.1500 across 13 UTC dates. The first was 2026-06-08T09:35:00Z; the minimum M1 close was 1.13249.
- 2026-06-17 was the widest date at 138.8 pips and the weakest close-to-close date at -102.8 pips. 2026-06-11 was the strongest close-to-close date at +40.2 pips.

## Every June 2026 UTC weekday

Daily OHLC is rebuilt from the observed M1 bids. Friday rows can end before UTC midnight. Sunday-open fragments remain in the month source count but are not promoted into separate weekday rows. No missing minute is filled.

## Fixed UTC hourly ranges

Each date-hour block must contain at least 45 observed M1 candles. Values below are the median and p90 high-low range across qualifying weekday blocks in June 2026. This answers what happened in this month; it does not establish a universal best hour to trade.

| UTC hour | Blocks | Median range | P90 range | Median-range rank |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| 00:00-01:00 | 22 | 7.8 pips | 12.5 pips | 16 |

## Fixed UTC window ranges

The four non-overlapping buckets cover the UTC day. A block qualifies only when it contains at least 80% of its possible M1 observations. The labels are clock context, not claims that one financial centre opens at the same UTC time year-round.

| UTC window | Context | Qualifying blocks | Median range | P90 range | Median share of UTC-day range |
|---|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| 00:00-08:00 UTC | fixed Asian-reference window | 22 | 26.3 pips | 34.5 pips | 51.5% |
| 08:00-13:00 UTC | fixed European-morning window | 22 | 29.1 pips | 50.2 pips | 54.3% |
| 13:00-17:00 UTC | fixed transatlantic-overlap window | 22 | 29.8 pips | 46.9 pips | 60.6% |
| 17:00-24:00 UTC | fixed late-UTC window | 18 | 16.8 pips | 48.5 pips | 31.4% |

The widest median bucket was 13:00-17:00 UTC at 29.8 pips. This does not isolate a causal session effect, and the fixed windows do not shift for daylight-saving time.

## June 2026 versus the previous five Junes

Pips are the conventional EURUSD distance unit, while percentage of open provides a second scale-aware view. Six calendar observations are not enough to establish a seasonal effect.

| June | M1 rows | Open | High | Low | Close | Return | Median weekday range | Median range / open |
|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| 2021 | 31,309 | 1.22325 | 1.22542 | 1.18450 | 1.18558 | -3.080% | 57.8 pips | 0.480% |
| 2022 | 31,528 | 1.07340 | 1.07738 | 1.03590 | 1.04783 | -2.382% | 99.3 pips | 0.942% |
| 2023 | 31,282 | 1.06934 | 1.10122 | 1.06617 | 1.09095 | +2.021% | 68.7 pips | 0.641% |
| 2024 | 28,714 | 1.08462 | 1.09160 | 1.06660 | 1.07349 | -1.026% | 52.7 pips | 0.492% |
| 2025 | 25,859 | 1.13439 | 1.17907 | 1.13435 | 1.17863 | +3.900% | 90.4 pips | 0.789% |
| 2026 | 31,145 | 1.16486 | 1.16648 | 1.13245 | 1.14129 | -2.023% | 54.6 pips | 0.475% |

June 2026 was weaker than June 2024 but less negative than June 2021 and 2022. Its 54.6 pips median weekday range was the smallest of the six samples. This is descriptive, not a significance test.

## The newly available May-August 2026 stretch

August is partial through 2026-08-31T08:59:00Z and is not treated as a completed month.

| May 2026 | 29,740 | 1.17287 | 1.17966 | 1.15763 | 1.16485 | -0.684% | 56.7 pips |
| June 2026 | 31,145 | 1.16486 | 1.16648 | 1.13245 | 1.14129 | -2.023% | 54.6 pips |
| July 2026 | 32,363 | 1.14128 | 1.15471 | 1.13531 | 1.15202 | +0.941% | 49.2 pips |
| August 2026 (partial) | 28,887 | 1.15446 | 1.17115 | 1.15002 | 1.15941 | +0.429% | 34.8 pips |

## Why two June EURUSD tables can disagree

A difference is not automatically a data error. “EURUSD close” can refer to different instruments, quote sides, calendars, and observation rules.

- **Instrument:** This page measures spot EURUSD from Dukascopy. CME euro futures are dated contracts with their own conventions, expiry, and basis. Official reference rates are sampled at specified times rather than continuous tradable tapes.
- **Quote side:** Every value here is a bid. Ask quotes are normally higher by the spread, while midpoint data sit between them. That distinction matters when comparing a precise monthly high, low, close, or 1.1500 crossing.
- **Day boundary:** This study uses UTC dates and months. Many brokers build D1 candles from a New York-close day. Identical M1 prices can therefore produce different daily opens, closes, candle counts, and percentage returns.
- **Pip and observation rule:** One pip is 0.0001, calculated from unrounded source values. FXAbsolute does not fill closed periods with flat bars. Monthly extremes use M1 highs and lows, while the below-1.1500 count uses closes. Those definitions answer different questions from a daily fix or settlement.

For a fair comparison, align instrument, quote side, calendar boundary, and observation rule. The CSV makes all four inspectable.

## Source and append integrity

The current production file contains 2,033,276 EURUSD M1 candles and runs from 2021-01-03T22:00:00Z through 2026-08-31T08:59:00Z. It is stored as a four-byte big-endian candle count followed by fixed 20-byte records: one uint32 Unix timestamp and four float32 OHLC values.

The earlier FXAbsolute EURUSD Phase 4 study used the first 1,911,141 candles. The current header contains the larger count, so the analyzer reconstructs the old header over the current prefix before hashing it. Both the earlier published snapshot and the reconstructed current prefix produce the SHA-256 5afa4be2ed37b3170c58f71a86d943ac1216639bc4d64b312603e6072901a9dd.

That proves the previous history stayed byte-for-byte unchanged. 122,135 candles were appended, and the append seam is 60 seconds.

The CSV columns are timestamp_utc, open, high, low, and close. Its first row is 2026-06-01T00:00:00Z; its last is 2026-06-30T23:59:00Z.

## Methodology

1. **Calendar:** All month, date, hour, and fixed-window boundaries use UTC. A weekday row is a Monday-through-Friday UTC calendar date, not a broker-specific New York-close D1 candle.
2. **Pip definition:** One EURUSD pip is defined as 0.0001. Pip differences are calculated from unrounded float32 source values and rounded to one decimal only for publication.
3. **Month open and close:** Month open is the first observed bid open at or after 00:00 UTC on June 1. Month close is the last observed bid close before 00:00 UTC on July 1.
4. **Daily range:** Daily range is the highest observed M1 bid high minus the lowest observed M1 bid low for each UTC weekday, divided by 0.0001.
5. **Hourly range:** Each fixed UTC hour is summarized only when at least 45 observed M1 candles exist in that date-hour block.
6. **Fixed UTC windows:** The four labeled UTC windows are clock buckets, not claims about one venue open. A block qualifies with at least 80% of its possible M1 observations. Windows are not shifted for daylight-saving time.
7. **Return:** Open-to-close percentage return is close divided by open minus one. Close-to-close daily return uses the previous observed UTC weekday close.
8. **Comparisons:** Complete-month rankings exclude the partial first and current edge months. Historical-June and recent-month comparisons are descriptive and are not significance tests.
9. **1.1500 threshold:** A close below 1.1500 means an observed M1 bid close strictly below 1.1500. It is not a statement about every broker, ask quote, midpoint, fix, or futures settlement.
10. **Missing time:** No missing minute is forward-filled. Closed-market intervals are absent. Counts describe observed bid candles rather than an assertion that every wall-clock minute must trade.

## Limitations

- Bid OHLC only; no ask prices, spread, volume, slippage, commission, swap, latency, or executable fills.
- Float32 source values can differ slightly from a platform that rounds prices before aggregation.
- UTC calendar bars can differ from broker D1 candles, CME euro futures, and official daily reference rates.
- Fixed UTC windows do not track daylight-saving shifts in named financial centres.
- This is descriptive historical evidence. It does not identify why EURUSD moved and does not forecast its next move.

This is descriptive historical market data. It is not personal financial advice, a trading signal, a price target, a causal account of June, or evidence that a strategy would have made money.
