Features
FXAbsolute is a low-cost, browser-based manual backtester with a generous free plan. You replay real market history bar by bar, place trades by hand, and measure the results.
All of it is on the free plan within its limits: 2 sessions of 14 days of candles and up to 7 trades. Pro is $4.98 for 8 months, paid once. The guide explains each feature step by step.
Replay and trading
- Replay real one-minute candles bar by bar, in your browser, with no download
- 15 core markets: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, AUDUSD, AUDCAD, EURJPY, EURGBP, GBPJPY, XAUUSD (gold), SPX500, NAS100, US30, BTCUSD and ETHUSD, plus UAE shares
- 10 timeframes from 1 minute to 1 week, each built from the one-minute base, and a split view with two charts in one session
- Market and pending limit orders with lot size, stop loss and take profit, and Long and Short position tools on the chart
Indicators and drawing
- EMA 20/50/200, Bollinger Bands, RSI with confirmed divergences, MACD
- Sessions for Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York, with hours you can edit on each city's own clock
- Trendline breaks and support/resistance zones, built only on confirmed swings, so nothing repaints during replay
- 13 drawing tools, including Fibonacci with up to 16 editable levels, plus opacity, separate border and fill, and a favourites bar
- Dark, Dim and White looks, and your own candle colours
Reviewing your trades
- Review tab: equity curve, drawdown, expectancy, profit factor, win rate, streaks, and results by session, weekday, direction, exit and market
- A trade journal in every session, with notes and mood on each trade
- Export trades as CSV, and export or import whole sessions
Replays and sharing
- Every backtest is recorded, and plays forwards or backwards from 0.5x to 8x, with a check that flags trades taken after the chart had shown what came next
- Download a replay as an MP4 video, in the full chart view or in 9:16 for short video
- Share a replay by link, or share a picture of the chart by link, PNG or X

What it does not do
- There is no scripting or parameter optimisation: every trade in the backtester is placed by hand. To sweep coded strategies, the MT5 Strategy Tester is built for that.
- It simulates fills from candles, so it is not suited to testing very small scalping targets.
